Carl D. Glaeser
Mr. Glaeser is a proven senior operating executive with a broad base of experience building and leading successful global organizations. His diverse background includes large, medium-sized and entrepreneurial companies. Industry focus has been in the BPO services, information technology, telecom, hardware, software and consumer packaged goods industries. In the past 10 years Mr. Glaeser has been the principal in over 20 service industry, software and other technology transactions.
Prior to co-founding Palladian Capital Partners, Mr. Glaeser spent five years as the President and CEO of Bowne Global Solutions, the leading international provider of business process outsourcing globalization services. During his tenure, Mr. Glaeser stabilized and repositioned three underperforming business units eventually creating BGS as an international platform company with operations in over 30 countries, to be spun off from Bowne. The business grew from $40 million to over $220 million during his tenure.
Mr. Glaeser joined Bowne after serving for six years at Lucent Technologies. His last role at Lucent was as Vice President and General Manager of AG Communication Systems. In this role, Mr. Glaeser had full P & L responsibility for this vertical wireless business unit. He previously served as Director, Business Development, producing business programs for VoIP, xDSL product lines and Internet Telephony products.
Mr. Glaeser co-founded and served as EVP of Pastel Development Corporation, a developer of personal information management (PIM) software. Pastel was sold to a Japanese investor group. Before founding Pastel, Mr. Glaeser was the National Sales Manager at MECA Software, a maker of business and personal software. He also participated in the company’s IPO and eventual sale to H&R Block and a bank holding company.
Mr. Glaeser began his career in the consumer packaged goods industry, having held positions including Director, National Accounts at Keebler Company, Director of Planning at Cadbury Schweppes, Division Sales Manager at H.J. Heinz, and Division Manager at Snyder’s of Hanover.
Mr. Glaeser graduated with a B.S., in Economics and Political Science from Juniata College. He also serves on the Board of Trustees, where he Chairs the Entrepreneurial Studies and is Vice Chair of the Investment Committee at Juniata College.
Jon A. Gordon
Mr. Gordon has over 15 years of experience in investment banking and private equity, with both large and middle market companies. His background includes mergers and acquisitions, raising capital and recapitalizations as well as strategic and financial advisory services.
Prior to co-founding Palladian Capital Partners, Mr. Gordon was a Managing Director in the Financial Sponsors and Mergers and Acquisitions Groups at Lehman Brothers where he headed Transaction Development for financial sponsors. Mr. Gordon initiated several M&A assignments with financial sponsors on both the sell-side and buy-side; developed a series of reports, databases and presentations for coverage officers in the Financial Sponsors Group and customized M&A/investment idea presentations for a variety of clients. He executed transactions in the industrial, food retail, business services, consumer products and health care industry segments with total value in excess of $2 billion.
Mr. Gordon was previously a Director in the Mergers and Acquisitions Department at Credit Suisse First Boston where he spearheaded execution for clients in the industrial, consumer products, business services, and retail and education industries. He also provided mergers and acquisitions coverage for a number of large and middle market financial sponsors, executing M&A transactions on their behalf with aggregate value in excess of $1.5 billion, as well as executing M&A transactions on behalf of corporate clients in excess of $2.5 billion.
Mr. Gordon began his investment banking career at Furman Selz Incorporated, where he managed transaction execution and relationship maintenance. Mr. Gordon led public and private offerings of equity and debt, leveraged buyouts, restructurings and financial advisory assignments and co-headed the transportation industry group.
Mr. Gordon was involved in private equity at Tribeca Holdings, Inc. where he identified and evaluated LBO candidates as well as participating in transaction structuring and financing. During his tenure he reviewed over 40 companies, and closed a $125 million acquisition of a retailer as principal, executed another acquisition, and subsequent sale, of a $140 million revenue children's wear retailer.
Mr. Gordon began his business career as a management consultant at Booz-Allen & Hamilton, Inc. where he worked with a number of large corporate clients.
Mr. Gordon is a graduate of Harvard College where he received an A.B. magna cum laude and has an MBA with distinction from the Harvard Business School.
Edward C. (Ted) Mendrzycki
Mr. Mendrzycki is a senior financial executive, with an extensive background in both public and private companies as a valued strategic advisor. His background includes a proven track record as successful negotiator of acquisitions, divestitures, and large vendor contracts.
Prior to working with Palladian Capital, Mr. Mendrzycki spent three years as the Vice President and Chief of Staff to the CFO of MasterCard International. During his tenure, Mr. Mendrzycki led an organization-wide detailed review of the existing financial process and controls, assessed skills of finance personnel throughout the company, and identified performance metrics to ensure Sarbanes-Oxley compliance. He developed and delivered in-depth technical finance training, focusing on accounting, financial reporting, and financial analysis to over 250 members of the finance organization. In addition, Mr. Mendrzycki managed the accounting, financial reporting, budgeting and forecasting for finance, human resources and facilities with a small professional staff and a budget in excess of $100 million. He was actively engaged in the financial analysis of acquisitions, capital expenditure projects, and large vendor contracts, including developing comprehensive models with proper accounting treatments, and overseeing the negotiations. He was also involved in the S&P annual review and debt rating process.
Mr. Mendrzycki was previously at Bowne, the leading document provider in the finance industry. Mr. Mendrzycki was a key member of the business development team that completed the financial analysis, due diligence, business case and negotiation for over 20 acquisitions as part of the execution of the acquisition strategy, which increased revenue from $400 million to over $1 billion. Earlier in his career at Bowne, Mr. Mendrzycki led the development of the company’s marketing information system that facilitated for the first time the reporting of trends, market activity, and market share, as well as appropriate resource allocation.
Mr. Mendrzycki began his business career in the banking industry as a corporate banking officer at J.P. Morgan Chase, where he worked with middle market companies.
Mr. Mendrzycki is a graduate of Tufts University, where he received a B.A. in Economics. He earned his M.B.A. from New York University.
